Russell L. Richardson, Executive Vice President, joined Collateral in 2003 and currently oversees all servicing and asset management for the company’s multi-billion dollar national portfolio. Prior to joining Collateral, Mr. Richardson served as a member of the executive management team of Prudential’s loan servicing operation in Dallas, with a servicing portfolio then in excess of $30 billion, comprised of Prudential’s own General Account, as well as loans held by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS securitizations (as master, primary and special), pension funds, and FHA investors (both participations and GNMA securitizations).  

He began his career as an attorney in Texas (where he maintains his license) with a focus on business transactions and corporate structuring and licensure. Mr. Richardson then joined Nomura/Capital America (later, the Bank of New York’s BNY Asset Solutions), where he served as in-house legal counsel in the servicing of CMBS, CDO and other large structured financing arrangements.

Mr. Richardson obtained both his law degree and his B.A. at the University of Texas, and attended the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Executive Leadership Forum at the UNC–Kenan-Flager School of Business. He has obtained the Certified Commercial Mortgage Banker designation from the MBA and has served as a speaker and panelist at the MBA’s national Commercial Real Estate Finance (CREF) convention and several Asset Administration conferences. Mr. Richardson has served for several years as Vice-Chair of the MBA’s CREF Education Committee, and remains a member of several standing CREF committees, as well as several Task Force/Working Groups, helping to address a broad array of current industry issues.
